STATEMENTS OF THEOLOGICAL POSITION
Doctrinal standards
RTCM subscribes to the Ecumenical Creeds -- the Apostles' Creed, the Nicence Creed, and the Athanasian Creed -- as well as three Reformed Confessions, commonly referred as the Three Forms of Unity: the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dort. By way of the Form of Subscription, all Faculty Members of RTCM promise to teach [the doctrines contained in these confessions] diligently, to defend them faithfully, and not to contradict them, publicly or privately, directly or indirectly, in [their] preaching, teaching, or writing. They pledge moreover not only to reject all errors that conflict with these doctrines, but also to refute them, and to do everything [they] can to keep the church free from them.
Position and Statement of Faith
We, all the Faculty members of RTC, are wholeheartedly committed to the Holy Scriptures as the infallible and inerrant Word of God, and inconformity with the Word, and to the Ecumenical Creeds of Christendom (Apostles Creed; Nicene Creed; and Athanasian’s Creed) and the Reformed Confessions such as the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism, the Canons of Dort; and the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms.
Scripture: We believe that the Old and the New Testaments are the inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God, our final authority in matters of doctrine and practices.
God: We believe that God is one being, infinitely just, wise, good, loving, holy and existing eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is sovereign Creator of the universe and by His providence sustains and rules all that He has made.
Humanity: We believe that man-male and female were created in the image of God, but they fell into sin through the disobedience of Adam and Eve. As the result of the fall into sin, all people are born sinful and need of salvation.
Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is fully divine and fully human that He saves His people from their sins by His life, death and resurrection.
Salvation: We believe that sinners are justified by grace through faith on the basis of the finished work of Christ, His death and resurrection and perseverance in this life by the power of God.
The Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit regenerates sinners, enables them to live the godly life and to use the spiritual gifts He has given to them.
The Covenant: We believe that God in His grace has established a relationship God makes promises that are fulfilled in Jesus Christ for His people. In turn God’s people response in the covenant to Him with faith and obedience.
The Church: We believe that God is calling people from the whole human race to believe in His Son, Jesus Christ. They enjoy the protection of God and fellowship with each other in communities of faith until Jesus returns.
The Future: We believe that Christ is ruling now over the church and the world through His Word and Spirit. He will return to judge the living and the dead to renew the whole creation.
