Academic Regulations
Registration and Orientation
All students are expected to register during a regular registration periods at the beginning of each semester of the College in June. Late registration will entail a fee of K. 1000.00 and is only permitted another fifteen days (two weeks) after a registration period if sufficient reasons have been submitted to the Principal. A student is not considered fully registered until he/she has either paid of the required amount of his/her semester’s charges or made satisfactory arrangements with the principal for making payment.
An orientation is scheduled prior to the first week of June each semester in order to help planning their academic programs.
Withdrawal from Studies
For a variety of reasons, such as personal, financial, academic, or vocational, a student may choose to withdraw from studies at the College. Students desiring to withdraw from the college before the end of a semester must inform the principal in writing. A student voluntarily withdrawing from the college within ten days after enrollment is allowed to a refund of one-half of the semester tuition fee. No refund is given for withdrawal after one month. Students who are expelled from the College due to a serious misconduct according to the disciplines, rules of the College will not be accepted again to continue his/her studies at the College.
Transfer Students
Every possible effort is made to assist an easy transition into the curriculum and program at Reformed Theological College by a student from another approved theological college or seminary. Transcripts of previous seminary work are evaluated individually and credit transfers and program placement are always discussed with the student, in an attempt to honor the work of other approved theological college or seminary and be as flexible as possible. In general courses taken on a pre-seminary level will not be credited toward any seminary degree. Occasionally competency English exams may be offered.
Comprehensive
In addition to fulfilling course and apprenticeship requirements students are required to sustain Biblical knowledge comprehensive examination by the end of third year.
STANDARDS OF CONDUCT
The Board of Trustees, the faculty, and the administration of the College expect that students will live according to the highest standards of faith, conduct, high Christian ideals and strong Christian commitment. Students must live peacefully in the College. Applicants must be a born-again Christian. Students are expected to support and contribute to spiritual life and testimony of the college.
Students are not allowed to use any kind of tobacco, either to smoke or to chew. Drinking liquor and the use of drugs are strictly prohibited. Students are not allowed to go to cinema. Students should not involve in demonstration against the government. Students are subjected to dismissal from the college, without giving further warning, when serious moral offenses of guilty is found, at which time no refund of tuition fees may be expected. Students having serious academic deficiencies over a period of time may be advised to discontinue their
